What was the initial spark for the property and how did it all begin?

1 Hotel West Hollywood opened in July 2019 as the fourth location of the mission-driven, luxury hotel brand, 1 Hotels. For each property, our ethos revolves around weaving nature and sustainability into the fabric of everything we do. When launching 1 Hotel West Hollywood, we were inspired by Southern California’s diverse environmental landscapes—mountain, sea, and lush greenery—and sought to infuse the essence of these surroundings into every facet of the property.

Our goal was to create a city sanctuary, offering guests an immersive experience that echoes the natural beauty of Los Angeles. At 1 Hotels, we believe in creating harmonious connections with the environment through sustainable practices, from eco-conscious architecture and design to zero-waste food programs and unique wellness offerings, to root our guests in nature and inspire them to make a positive impact on the planet.

What spaces do you offer for a wedding or event?

Our Melrose room is the perfect space for an intimate wedding of 40 people or less. Our Sunset Ballroom can accommodate weddings of up to 220 guests. Both spaces offer windows with views of the city, as well as access to our beautiful Skyline Deck and Canyon Garden. Foyers of both rooms offer beautiful soft seating areas for guest to enjoy.

How many guests can you cater for?

We can cater for a maximum of 220 guests for seated weddings.

What is it that makes your property magic?

Our indoor and outdoor spaces showcase the most iconic LA backdrop for one of the most important days of your life. With an abundance of light, living plants, and beautiful surroundings, every wedding is infused with nature for an experience as unique as each couple.

What advice can you give couples when selecting their venue?

The best advice is to determine your wedding style and must have’s before you start looking for a venue. Size of event and location are the first two foremost considerations when starting your search. Lastly, you will know you found the right place when it feels like you!
