Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography?

I love the performative aspects of weddings – the fashion, the meticulous styling of venues – but also the live action element, the adrenaline and the potential for spontaneous magic.

How would you describe your photography style?

I aim to create elegant, flattering images for my subjects. I hope to capture the multitude of  moods inherent to any wedding day – from the serene and intimate moments to the energetic and daring ones.

What inspires you creatively?

I look to other art mediums and disciplines for inspiration. I am currently crushing on the minimalism and irreverence of 90s fashion, the maximalist interiors of Jaipur, the excess and formality of parties in the Regency period of England, and the mesmerizing perfection of AI-generated imagery.

What is it that makes an image magical?

There are so many different types of magic to be made in a photographic image. Sometimes “that shot” happens as the result of clever composition or an accidental imperfection, sometimes it is a shutter click during an outburst of raw unexpected emotion, and other times it’s as simple as the right light on a joyful subject.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

When selecting a photographer, find someone whose work speaks to your heart. Ask yourself “do these look like photos I would want to frame and showcase if they taken of me?” Then, schedule a time to chat with them. After all, you will spend a great deal of important time with them. You should like them!

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

My bucket list is ever-growing… for now: Paris, Montenegro, El Farallon in Cabo or The Madonna Inn in California.
