Behind The Brand

How would you describe your photography style?

We strive for timeless, meaningful and honest moments full of emotion. Although movement, light and poetry are huge influences in our photography, we try to capture the scene without much intervention since ours is purely a documentary approach.

What is it that makes an image magical?

People tend to think of a great image in terms of composition, content or light. However, “the magic” truly happens when an image touches someone deep inside. When it comes to poetic images, it is no longer about the answers an image gives you, but about the questions it poses…

What advice would you give to the camera-shy couple?

It is perfectly fine to be shy in front of the cameras. It is important to remind our couples that the images we will create with them, could very well be, the most precious way for them to make their offspring understand how wonderful it is to find that special someone in life. Our mindset is set in pursuing emotional images that will hopefully one day, be cherished by  people that are not yet born.

Do you travel interstate or internationally?

We do and we absolutely love it. We have all lived overseas at some stage, and we all know how beautiful it is to meet people from other cultures.  In fact, ever since I left Australia after completing my masters in Environmental Management, I have been fantasizing with going back there as a wedding photographer. Our mother tongue is Spanish but we speak English, French, Italian and Portuguese fluently as well.

As an estimate, how long does your editing process take?

We provide a selection of images to our couples so that they can share with their families and friends as soon as we get back home. Then, six weeks after their wedding, our couples receive the rest of their images once these have been edited both in color and black and white. We all go through the images together until we are sure the images are flawless.

Describe a magical moment from a wedding you’ve photographed…

There are plenty of magical moments that I can think of that remind us each day how lucky we are to be working in this field.  I will share one with you that still to this day, make our eyes well. Three months after a wedding, one of our brides called us to thank us for our work. She told us with a broken voice, that she could not thank us enough for a particular image. It was a picture of her mother-in-law smiling in tears whilst holding her husband’s hand, watching her son getting married. We then discovered that she had recently passed away after a fierce battle with cancer. One of many images we will never forget.
