About El Jardín del Cabo
El Jardín del Cabo is a Spanish based company, with over 15 years of experience, focused on floral decorations for bespoke and tailored weddings and events all around Spain and its European neighbouring countries. It is owned by a family with a deep love for craftmanship, and specializes in curated arrangements using exquisite florals and creating charming designs with a timeless touch.
Behind The Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
Our company is a family-owned business (mother, father and daughter). Back in the day, my parents worked in the toy industry but about 20 years ago things took a turn and my mum decided to learn about the technique and craftmanship of floral design. Since then, my dad and I decided to join her and become a part of the team. From having our first store front, to then moving into our second and finally starting our journey in the wedding industry. Now, over 15 years later, we no longer have a shop front but instead we work in our floral studio in the countryside where we grow some of our own flowers and prepare the most beautiful and timeless pieces for our clients.
What services do you offer couples?
We offer floral designs and decorations for chic, classy, timeless and elegant couples looking for their wedding day florals to flux and fuse in with their overall desired aesthetics. We guide them through the design process and show them what will work best with the venue, style, looks and vibe of their wedding. We specialize in detailed craftmanship with tailor-made arrangements and hand-picked floral recipes that will make of their wedding day florals a dream come true.
Although we’re based in the East coast of Spain we work all around the country as well as our European neighbouring countries (France, Italy, UK).
How would you describe your aesthetic?
We pride ourselves for offering timeless decorations that will stand the test of time. Our florals are classy and elegant, romantic and detailed, charming and impactful.
As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
Still-life arrangements (whether that’s on a painting or right before our eyes), detailed hand-crafted fabrics or draping installations and nature-filled beautiful surroundings tend to inspire us the most. We’re usually obsessing over a curated color palette and we’re always drawn towards particular raw materials.
What would you like to see less of?
Less of impersonal, non-tailored wedding decorations. More decorations true to each couple (which, in turn, will bring more originality and individuality). Also, when thinking of modern designs, never fall for cold decorations; a wedding must always look romantic.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
The first one would be to prioritise when it comes to budgeting your florals. It’s much better to allocate the money to one very impactful decoration rather than trying to stretch it with the intention of decorating every space possible. Stay realistic. Taste and class are what makes a wedding aesthetically beautiful.
The second one would be to make sure you book a florist that aligns with your taste and style, and is transparent with the possibilities and options you bring to the table. Feeling a connection with your floral supplier is vital!
Editor’s Notes
Why we love it…
We first discovered El Jardin Del Cabo as part of the collective of creatives that brought this incredible Spanish wedding to life. Run by mother, father and daughter trio who grow some of their own blooms, we love their wildly artistic yet classically romantic style that truly elevates an event.
For the couple…
Who want creative florists who will elevate any setting with sculptural, impactful blooms that are perfectly balanced with a sense of classicism and elegance.
