Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

Found Collective began in early 2016 after creative director, Kelly, planned and styled her own wedding, immersing herself in the creative process, the wedding industry captured her heart and from there the business evolved from an event hire business to a creative studio offering wedding planning, styling, management and a premium hire collection.

What services do you offer couples?

We offer everything from the styling, planning, through to the management of your wedding. Think timelines, sourcing and booking suppliers, concept, design and color palettes, attending meetings. We are here to create something even dreamier than you can imagine, ensuring the whole way through that it matches your style and personalities.

In addition to this, we offer a premium hire collection of linens, arbours, and styling décor for events and weddings.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

We endeavour to create romantic, elegant and intentional designs that speak to our couple and complement the venue, while also creating focal point “moments” that are unique to each wedding.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

I am inspired by art, prints, textures, interior design, and finding the perfect balance between artistic minimalism and maximalism…knowing where to create focal points in our designs.
We love bringing a softness and warmth to each space whether that’s through textures, colors, fabrics, or candlelight. I love to bring a level of authenticity to each wedding ensuring it’s a true reflection of our couple.

What would you like to see less of?

Copying or replicating the current trends. There is something really special about creating something unique for each couple.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

One key piece of advice is to ensure whatever venue you choose is in line with your vision and aesthetic. If you don’t like certain visual elements at your venue and feel the need to “hide” or disguise them, perhaps it isn’t the right venue for you.

Secondly, engage a stylist or planner early on in the process to help guide you to select the best quality vendors to execute your wedding seamlessly. I cannot stress this enough, wedding planning is a lot of work and most couples truly underestimate just how much time and decision making is involved. Having an amazing and professional team of vendors that have a high work ethic on your team is so important and will truly reflect on your day and also your stress levels.

Think about your guests experience and ensuring they are well fed, comfortable and create wow moments to really immerse your guests in the overall “experience” of your wedding, ensuring you create lasting memories that are truly suspended in time.
