Lon Retreat opened its doors in October 2018 as a home-hotel and a 20-year dream fulfilled for owners Claire and Rob Gemes on the family farm. They have created a place where guests can disconnect from the busyness of their lives and reconnect with the beautiful experiences that can be found in slowing down and keeping things simple. The antidote to a busy life.

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

Lon Retreat is licensed to host up to 120 people. There are a number of beautiful outdoor and indoor locations to host your ceremony. For receptions of 60 or more, a marquee will need to be arranged for your guests to enjoy their meal in and to protect them from the elements.

How many people can each of these cater for?

Lon Retreat can host weddings for up to 120 people. Any wedding over 60 people must arrange the use of an outdoor marquee.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

Hire of Lon Retreat includes the use of our 7 luxury hotel suites available to accommodate up to 16 people. When hosting your wedding at Lon Retreat we offer exclusive use of our property for a minimum of 2 nights and 2 days. All beds are king size and unable to be split. We have 6 suites that accommodate 2 people and 1 suite that accommodates 4 people.

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

During your stay at Lon Retreat, you and your guests will enjoy a breakfast hamper for your first morning along with unlimited access to our mineral pools throughout your stay.

Lon Spa treatments can be booked by your guests to enjoy during their stay at Lon Retreat.

When styling a marquee, keep in mind layout to ensure your guests can easily flow in and out. Opt for a singular long table for a communal dining setting with an outdoor dance floor and bar area on a warm summer eve. A palette of washed whites and sandstone will perfectly complement the natural surrounds.
