The Isle is a bespoke planning, styling, and design studio based in Ios and Australia, specializing in curating timeless destination weddings and elopements imbued with emotion and intimacy, creating unforgettable moments for couples and guests alike. 

Founded on the Greek Islands by Australian couple Georgie Zoe Mioni and Alex Longden, The Isle fuses the romanticism of the Mediterranean with a refined approach to styling, planning, and coordination. With their innate sense of style, Georgie and Alex can conceptualize and design authentic spaces, with an innovative approach to floristry, stationery, hire, and lighting to create heartfelt weddings and elopements, celebrating each couple’s unique love story.

Behind The Brand

What’s your best piece of advice for wedding and event planning?

We believe a couple’s love story should form the narrative of their wedding. We encourage our couples to intuitively select elements which represent themselves and their relationship, without focusing too heavily on current trends. We also work with our couples to carefully choose vendors who align with their vision to ensure continuity in all aspects of their wedding as we guide them through each stage of the planning process.

Do you travel interstate/worldwide?

Absolutely! We chase an endless summer from the Cycladic Islands in Greece to Australia each year, to offer our couples personalized and dedicated support in the lead-up and on the day of their weddings, whether that is locally or in Greece. The Isle is the only wedding business on Los, offering bespoke professional services that capture the essence of the island while celebrating the distinct story of each couple. Our beautiful, semi-custom stationery collection is available worldwide from our online store, the perfect way to set the tone for the celebrations to follow. We offer exceptional and personalized services to our couples, no matter where they in the world.

How does the process of wedding planning work?

When couples begin their journey with The Isle, we like to sit down with them whether in person or online to understand their vision, which helps us to gauge which of our bespoke services meet their needs. We love this part of the process, as couples are usually recently engaged, and we can share their excitement and joy. We understand that the process can be overwhelming, that’s why we invest time with each couple to explain our many service offerings, whether they require a fully tailored planning service or just key elements to bring their day to life. With Georgie’s extensive experience in the wedding industry and event management, our couples can be at ease knowing that every detail has been taken care of. By forming genuine relationships with our couples, we can provide clarity and support for each stage of the planning process, to minimize stress so that they can be fully immersed in the moment on the day.

What elements of a wedding do you help with?

Our involvement is entirely dependent on our couple’s needs, and we can support couples at any stage of their planning. We love assisting couples through the whole experience and journeying with them as they prepare for their wedding by providing either a tailored approach or our all-inclusive option. In the months before the wedding, we take care of site visits and vendor meetings on our couple’s behalf. We also source props and assist with linen and color palette selection to create a distinctive concept design. On the day of the wedding, we want our couples and their families to be relaxed and fully present. We handle all the behind-the-scenes action, from arranging set up and styling managing suppliers and deliveries and being the point of call to ensure the day runs seamlessly and to schedule.

At times our couples may only require a selected service, from on-the-day coordination to floristry, stationery, or beverage services. Regardless of the service, we want our couples and their guests to be immersed in the experience by having each element working harmoniously with the next, from lighting to thoughtfully placed furniture, and decor accents, influencing a holistic ambience and aesthetic.

How would you describe your style when it comes to your products and services?

Georgie has a background in graphic and interior design, which instils fluidity throughout each element of The Isle’s style and design aesthetic; effortlessly timeless with a subtle nod to the now. With a minimalistic approach, we create with our couple in mind, ensuring that every detail is considered, and is a true reflection of their personalities and relationship, with pieces they love and elements that are significant to them. We love layering sensory palettes and textures to create an inimitable mood and atmosphere, inspired by Mediterranean architecture, culture, and beaches. While our level of styling is consistent, we love that every wedding we curate is unique to the couple, and bringing their vision to life is so fulfilling. Our style is continuously evolving, not with trends but with the stories of love that we are a part of, and the enchanting places we visit. We love pushing the boundaries of style and design to redefine traditional spaces and wedding ideals.
