What draws you to wedding photography?

Wedding photography calls me because it connects to my heritage and upbringing. I grew up in rural Victoria, among migrant farming communities. My childhood taught me to love nature, vast skies, and to value Mediterranean culture like family, food, history, generosity, and celebrating life together. In our community, after a busy farming season, families would often celebrate weddings, and rejoice in them. Celebrating marriages with my family and community has always been an important way for me to connect with my culture and past.

How would you describe your photography style?

The Wild Romantic style blends fashion editorial, classic cinema, and Mediterranean heritage. It’s a mix of documentary and editorial, capturing fashion and timeless stories. Each image tells a story while showcasing beauty. Fashion reportage mirrors editorial aesthetics, offering drama, simplicity, and framing. It’s timeless and modern, with romantic storytelling.

What inspires you creatively?

I find creative inspiration from three sources: movies, meaningful conversations, and moments in nature. Watching movies triggers my imagination and improves my focus. Movies crafted with beauty and great cinematography nourish my soul. I constantly find that visual aesthetics and the way music conveys emotions in cinema is the most powerful.

Meaningful connections with loved ones drives my creativity. They provide happiness, support, and a clear purpose, sparking my creative expression. When I go for a walk in nature, it makes my creativity feel renewed. The colors I see, the fresh air I breathe, and the beautiful soulful sunsets with rich colors soothe and inspire me.

What is it that makes an image magical?

A picture becomes magical when it makes us feel something. Does it bring out a feeling when we look at it?

Photographs can take us back to a certain time and place, helping us remember how things looked, smelled, and felt. Pictures can also make us feel strong emotions. Just one picture can make us laugh, cry, or feel inspired.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

When choosing a wedding photographer, it’s vital to follow a few essential steps. Firstly, thoroughly review their portfolio to ensure their style aligns with your vision. Next, arrange a face-to-face meeting to ensure you have good rapport. Effective communication is key throughout the process, so prioritize photographers who are attentive and responsive. Feeling comfortable around them is crucial, as it helps capture candid and relaxed shots. Establishing a strong connection ensures your unique moments are beautifully documented, providing cherished memories for years to come.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

My ideal place to photograph a wedding is in the picturesque landscapes of Sicily, Italy. Inspired by a beautiful wedding scene from The Godfather movie, I’m drawn to the natural beauty and rich cultural atmosphere. It’s a dream setting for capturing magical moments and creating lasting memories for couples.
