Eva Lendel & WONÁ Concept: The Art of Silhouetted Embellishment

With two collections from sister brands, rendering into a whole, a quiet drama emerged through intentional balance. Eva Lendel and WONÁ Concept at Barcelona Bridal Week presented gowns defined in silhouette by embellishment, canvases of illusion through fabrication, and designs that felt editorial in spirit.

When two make a whole. An echo becomes a harmony. Opposites fold into each other, and contrasts no longer compete but complete.

The two Ukranian, sister brands, Eva Lendel and WONÁ Concept presented a collection that felt both unified and expansive at Barcelona Bridal Week. One, steeped in the romance of tradition, the other, in the bold clarity of modernity. What emerged was a thoughtful dialogue between intricate craft and contemporary design.

WONÁ Concept opened with gowns exuding couture embellishment and sculptural silhouette. Mermaid fabrications that clung closely to the body before falling into voluminous, cloud-like trains. Curves articulated by lines of pearls and sequins applied with the precision of embroidery. The surface embellishments served not just as decoration but as a means of contouring, highlighting the body’s natural way with glistening geometry. High necklines and long sleeves, constructed in sheer tulle or lace. Tempering sensuality with restraint and referencing traditional bridal codes. The tension was palpable: silhouettes unfurling in delicate weightlessness while bodices stood strong with internal corsetry.

Eva Lendel, by contrast, carried a more fashion-forward energy. Gowns were defined by crisp silhouettes, sheer illusion panels, and designs that felt editorial in spirit. Delicate floral lace was rendered modern through its placement across sheer netting, allowing the skin to peek through in ways that felt sensual but never overt.

Bodices sculpted the waist with architectural precision, while puffed sleeves—referencing Baroque or Victorian silhouettes—were reimagined through sheer organza, adding volume without heaviness. A quiet drama emerged through these thoughtful contradictions: sleek column shapes interrupted by oversized sleeves; minimalist gowns softened with scalloped lace edging or cascading tulle overlays. The balance was always intentional.

The collections reflected the full breadth of bridal expression. From dresses that echoed the grandeur of cathedral weddings to those made for city rooftops or coastal celebrations. Each piece spoke to a bride who sees her dress not just as an object of beauty, but as a vehicle for identity. Whether laced in the ornate nostalgia of heirloom-inspired embroidery or slipping into something sheer and sculpted for an after-dark celebration, the bride imagined by this dual collection is one who honours tradition but lives boldly in the now.
