The Giveaway

You and your partner will be whisked away for a four night stay at Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, and featured in a photoshoot directed and styled by The Lane from November 24th to 28th, 2024. The prize includes return flights for two to and from Osaka (KIX or ITM), round-trip transfers from Osaka Airport to Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, a deluxe room for four nights, and daily breakfast for two.

The Lane Photo Shoot

We’re searching for a real couple to star in an exclusive photo shoot at the stunning Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto and its surrounds. Directed by The Lane’s Founder and Creative Director, styled by The Lane team, and captured by our network of renowned photographers and filmmakers, this shoot will be a unique collaboration with Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto.

Giveaway Terms and Conditions

Promoter:

The promoter of this giveaway (“Giveaway”). The promoter is The Lane Creative Enterprises, trading as The Lane, ABN 48127479412 (the “Promoter”).

Eligibility:

The Giveaway is open to residents of Australia, New Zealand, the United States and United Kingdom only, aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the Giveaway, as well as residents of Japan.

Entry Period:

The Giveaway opens at September 29th, 2024 and closes at midnight October 20^th, 2024 (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted outside of the Entry Period will not be accepted.

Competition Mechanics

How to Enter:

To enter, participants must:

1. Follow The Lane @the_lane and Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto @fskyoto

2. Tag their partner in comments section of The Lane official Instagram Post promoting the giveaway

3. Share the giveaway post to their Instagram Stories

4. Submit an application in the form via the designated entry form on The Lane website, including:

• Explain why they want to win (up to 250 words).

• Upload 4 images of the couple (images must be less than 1mb .jpg or .png)

Prize Details:

The prize consists of:

1 x Four-night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, Japan for two people. (deluxe room)

2 x Economy flights to and from Osaka (KIX or ITM), Japan, included and paid for by Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto.

Breakfast for 2 x people included daily.

Return Transfers from Osaka Airport to Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto.

Participation in a photo and video shoot by The Lane, where the winner’s image and likeness will be used by the Promoter and Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto.

Winner Selection:

Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the theme. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter and Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto.

Winner Notification:

The winner will be notified via email within 2 days of the Giveaway closing date. The winner must respond to the notification email within 2 days to claim the prize. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner.

Conditions of Prize:

The winner must be able to travel to Kyoto, Japan, within the dates specified by the Promoter. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.

Publicity:

By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree that their entry, name, footage and images may be used by the Promoter and Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto for promotional purposes, marketing activities, including but not limited to social media, website, and email newsletters, without further compensation or notice.

Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto will require the entrants to sign Four Seasons Release forms. The copyright is perpetual, without any limitation for the period.

General Terms:

This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon individual creative merit. All entries must be an independent creation by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions.

The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Giveaway if it cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including but not limited to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry, if:

1. a) Entry does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.

2. b) Entry contains inappropriate or offensive content as deemed so by the Promoter. This includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

   Entrants warrant that their entry does not infringe the rights, including the intellectual property rights, of any third party. Entrants agree to indemnify the Promoter against all costs and claims by third parties arising from a breach of this warranty. Further, entrants agree that the Promoter has an unrestricted, irrevocable, transferable, divisible right and license to use and modify their entry (including, without limitation, by re-sharing the entrant’s post) for the purposes of the Promoter’s business including for promotional purposes without the payment of any further fee or compensation. If requested by the Promoter, the entrant agrees to sign any further documentation required by the Promoter to give effect to this arrangement. To the extent permitted by law, entrants unconditionally and irrevocably consent to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any moral rights in their entry.

   Entries must be completed during the Competition Period. Entries completed after the end of the Competition Period will not be accepted.

   Entry is limited to one entry per individual.

   The Prize is a four-night stay at Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto in a deluxe room, including breakfast daily, 2 x economy flights to and from Osaka (KIX or ITM), and 2 x return transfers from Osaka Airport (KIX or ITM) to Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto.

   The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by laws.

   The Promoter may select additional reserve entries that they determine to be the next best in the event of an unclaimed prize or an invalid entry or ineligible entrant being selected as the winner.

   The winner agrees to the use by The Promoter and Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto of their/his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry answer.

   The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information from entrants relevant to entry into or participation in this Competition.  Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise is involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the conduct of this Competition.

   Entrants and participants in the Competition acknowledge that the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Instagram and entrants and participants in the Competition release Instagram and its associated companies from all liability arising from the Competition. Entrants provide their information to the Promoter and not to Instagram.

Participation in the Giveaway constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

The Promoter will be required to tag @fskyoto in campaign assets used on social media.

Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto will require the Photographer and Videographer to sign Four Seasons release forms for campaign asset usage over a 3 year period from launch date (January 2025) limited to Four Seasons Kyoto website, Four Seasons Kyoto social media and Four Seasons Kyoto print usage only, and excluding billboard.
