Inspired by silhouettes steeped in sophistication and the artistry of haute couture’s golden age, Australian designer Prea James has released her first demi-couture line, Studio Collection 01. For a small number of brides each year, Studio will offer a bespoke made-to-measure service via the new Level One VIP Fitting Area in Sydney. 

Exploring the escapism of artisanal techniques, gowns spill with handcrafted textures and thoughtful finishes, while maintaining the brand’s signature contemporary elegance and effortlessness that we fell deeply for when first discovering the brand. Designed for brides who seek nuance in the unexpected, modern and sleek silhouettes punctuated by elevated cuts, every gown is made-to-measure embodying the feminine and fashion-forward Prea James aesthetic. Outside of the exclusive VIP Fitting Area, Studio will be accessible on a limited, made-to-order basis, featuring split sizing to ensure a near-perfect fit while preserving the design’s integrity.

For an exclusive appointment to experience the sartorial artistry of Prea James’ designer and stylists, the VIP Fitting Area can now be experienced at the Sydney flagship boutique in Paddington. This city sanctuary, adorned with thoughtfully selected interior pieces, including designs by Sarah Ellison and Casa Blanco, offers a transportive space for bridal.

On an evening that bottled up the label’s palpable energy, friends of the brand gathered to celebrate the coveted designer. There to capture Prea James’ milestone, guests enjoyed a bespoke display of aperitifs and sparkling wine, whilst models presented the new release. The event marked 12 years of success, three years of the Paddington flagship, the launch of the highly anticipated demi-couture line—Studio Collection 01—and the newly unveiled VIP Fitting Area.
