Botanical Modernity
Drawing inspiration from the natural world, a team of London-based creatives staged a stunning tablescape styled with textured botanicals, balanced with sleek, contemporary design.
Drawing inspiration from the quiet solace and strength that nature instils, London-based creatives HILDE, Frida Kim and The Letterist staged a stunning tablescape layered with textured botanicals and modern motifs; a setting steeped in contemporary romance, captured exquisitely through the lens of LANE favourite photographer, Emilie White.
Beside a canvas of rendered concrete walls, the layering of modern cutlery, tableware and stationery – paired alongside the curved designs of wooden wishbone chairs – created a sleek contrast against a trio of textural florals. Crafted as focal points, the arrangements artfully combined moss, berries and white hyacinths, which enwreathed tapered candles that elongated the designs, while also bathing the table in a soft, glowing light.
Injecting more texture and juxtaposition into the setting, irregularly shaped oyster shells were placed between spherical brass votives, cream napkins sat upon dark ceramic plates, and above, dried tree branches swung suspended. The result – a scene thoughtfully curated and masterfully balanced. A stunning option for an intimate or urban wedding that seeks to embrace the beauty of nature and the elegance of contemporary design.
“The flowers played the most important part in this shoot…we wanted for all florals to convey an aura of ‘being cushioned’ and supported by nature, whilst still feeling elegant and contemporary.”
