A Modern Ibiza Wedding in an Ombré of Summer Tones

A modern wedding tablescape in an ombré of summer blooms, inspired by Mediterranean light that stains whitewashed walls.

Evocative of Mediterranean light that stains the whitewashed walls of Ibiza, CM Weddings and her team dreamt up this summer wedding tablescape in an ombré of summer blooms.

Set on an island renowned for its distinctly bohemian aesthetic, the team were inspired to reveal a modern magic and elegance that spills from this side of Ibiza. In front of cubist-inspired villa Casa Meyer, an all-white tablescape was layered with linen, hand sculpted ceramics and chic glassware. Florist Tabea Maria-Lisa reimagined a traditional table runner, weaving together Limonium, Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas, Lathyrus and Diantus. Mirroring dusk light, ivory blooms dissolved into shades of burnt rose and faded mauve.

Capturing every poetic detail was photographer Melanie Kuenzli.

CM Weddings’ Styling Tips

This soft look works best to contrast very modern, sleek architecture or will compliment a natural surrounding perfectly.
Make sure the venue or location you choose comes in natural tones and there are no bold colours, walls, etc. to draw attention away from the design. Use the same tone all the way through or add a color to the palette that might seem a bit off at first (in our case, the toffee colour) to give it an unexpected edge.
Use simple yet sophisticated glassware, crockery and cutlery which highlight but don’t overpower the unique design.
Add plenty of candles to create soft, ambient light after the sun has set.
