Knowing this tiny town’s dreamy venue options are limited and spilling over with bookings, we were excited to hear whispers about a brand new wedding venue launching this October at  Tides Byron Estate – one that rivals some of our favorite European destinations. Framed by dramatic floor to ceiling glass, Byron’s magical countryside and ocean views envelop one side of this purpose-built space, while sprawling macadamia orchards complete the other. A dream destination wedding venue guided by the knowledge of onsite wedding planner Du Jour Events.

The Magic

The Enveloping Hinterland Views

Enveloped by expansive vistas overlooking verdant countryside that stretch eastward to the ocean and beyond, Tides Byron Estate has the kind of uninterrupted hinterland views that shock with beauty. Every pocket of this space reveals a contrasting view just as magic as the next, offering infinite options to hold a wedding.

The Infinite Ceremony & Reception Options

The diversity of Tides Byron Estate, and styling philosophy of on site event planner Ju Dour Events lends to the most beautiful bespoke experiences. The infinite options for pre-wedding dinners, ceremony spaces and reception dinners mean you can completely make this your own, and no two weddings will ever feel the same (which is such a strong point given the volume of weddings that take place in Byron). Between the sprawling grounds, luxury villa and chic new event space, Tides Byron Estate is perfect for the most intimate weddings or extravagant celebrations.

A New Bespoke Event Hall (launching in October)

Bottling up the magic of Byron Bay’s magical hinterland and ocean views, revealed through floor to ceiling glass, with the comfort of a completely weather proof venue, this space will truly be something special (and no doubt inundated with bookings quickly!).

Reminiscent of some of our favourite European wedding venues, in a countryside close to our hearts, Tides Byron Estate’s Bespoke Event Hall is a contemporary space in rustic surrounds, enveloped by macadamia orchids.

Expansive in size, the Bespoke Event Hall can host 120 guests for a seated dinner or up to 300 guests canape-style, and has a landscaped outdoor lawn perfect for post-ceremony aperitivo hour.

Midnight Revelry

With acoustically engineered soundproofing, Tides Byron Estate is one of the only venues in the region that offers an 11:30pm curfew (most are 10pm), allowing celebrations to unfold at a pace in sync with the rythm of Byron Bay.

Du Jour Events

There’s nothing we can emphasize more than the importance of having a professional wedding planner weave together your plans and ideas to form a beautifully cohesive event, and allow you to completely relax and soak in a day that has been meticulously planned… and is over in the blink of an eye.

Resident wedding planner and culinary extraordinaire Natasha Hamer from Du Jour Events knows every intimate nuance of this property to create the most seamless experience for couples. An epicurean at heart, Natasha’s European background and experience as a high-end chef has instilled a deep knowledge and appreciation for curating and preparing the perfect wedding menu with wines to match. A highly organized hospitality professional and stylist, she’ll help you create an experience for guests that lingers long after the wedding day, taking care of every detail from the schedule and vendor bookings, to the entertainment and transport.

The Wedding

The Pre or Post Wedding Lunch

Style an infinite, communal table that stretches parallel through rows of macadamia trees illuminated with draped festoon lighting, for an intimate family lunch pre-wedding, or a languid brunch the next day for guests. Draw from the poetry of the surrounds and effortlessly adorn the table in simple, rustic décor with handcrafted touches. Work with Du Jour to cater a relaxed yet exquisite dining experience that effortlessly suits the mood of the landscape.

The Ceremony

Hold your ceremony beneath the property’s majestic fig tree, keeping florals and styling understated in an all-white, monochromatic or muted palette to let the garden surrounds remain the focal point. Consider rustic yet refined timber benches or elegant bentwood chairs. For a modern, chic aesthetic, choose transparent ghost chairs and line the aisle with arrangements of white sculptural blooms like orchids and anthuriums to compliment Tides Byron Estate’s lush gardens.

The Reception

Host aperitivo hour on the (soon to be completed) Bespoke Event Hall’s beautifully landscaped lawn. Here, guests can mingle and sip on signature cocktails as they drink in magical sunset views. Inside, style the expansive space with circular tables elegantly dressed and ambiently lit with candlelight. Keep the florals simplistic and palette neutral to effortlessly merge your decor with the dreamy hinterland views framed through floor to ceiling windows.

For intimate elopements or micro-weddings, work with Du Jour to style a tablescape on the veranda beside the infinity pool at the villa. Opt for handwoven linens, artisanal ceramics and modern blooms, letting the views take centre stage. String festoon lights to reflect in the pool’s glimmering waters and scent the air with decadent hand-rolled incense in sandalwood and lemongrass.

The Accommodation

Stay onsite at Tides’ luxurious villa. The commodious property can host up to 20 guests, with the lower levels ideal for groomsmen or children to stay, and the upper levels for the bridal party and newlyweds. Expansive windows frame the light-drenched villa, creating a bright and ambient space perfect for photos and preparations on the day of. The state-of-the-art kitchen (in the dreamiest pale stone palette) makes for effortless entertaining, as do the heated pools and decks that fringe the exterior. The space is decorated in exotic furnishings sourced from across the globe, and outside, luscious tropical plants wrap around the building, enshrouding the villa in leafy serenity.
