The Lane’s Fall ’25 Paris Fashion Week Edit
Sometimes it takes stepping back to truly grasp the spectacle: Paris Fashion Week was a revelation, and our fashion editor, Renata, has been quietly contemplating its nuances. With the allure of Paris couture still lingering – think layers of ethereal textiles, sheer overlays teasing glimpses of skin, and fluid fabrics cascading over sculpted silhouettes – this is The Lane’s curated edit of Fall 2025.

Over a month has passed since Paris couture, but its influence still lingers – an afterglow of artistry that continues to shape the season. As The Lane’s fashion editor, I’ve finally had the chance to step back and reflect on a season where the world paused to witness creativity unfold across New York, London, Milan, and Paris. This time, romanticism took center stage – reimagined through bold-shouldered tailoring, draped silk dresses with bloused bodices tapering to fluid hems, and a trove of ruffled lace cocktail numbers. Haider Ackermann’s sensational debut at Tom Ford, Christian Dior‘s refined yet wearable silhouettes, and standout collections from Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham all defined the mood, setting a new tone for modern elegance.
Beyond aesthetics, innovation in fabrication reshaped the conversation – digital printing techniques, tech culture woven into fashion narratives, and vegan materials that mimic traditional textiles, crafted from mycelium, recycled polyester, and biobased polyurethane. Designers played with layers of textiles, sheer overlays revealing glimpses of skin beneath sculptural tailoring, and fluid fabrics cascading over structured forms. Midriff and neckline cutouts, crystal-strewn dresses, and lace in all its forms embraced both delicacy and boldness. Quiet luxury gave way to exaggerated proportions – sumptuous fur coats, oversized tailoring, and lavish fabrications.
