Mira Zwillinger Spring ’20 Bridal

A return to a poetic ethereality and refined subtlety for the season…

An undeniable electricity fills the room backstage at Mira Zwillinger‘s Spring ’20 runway. Models, styling assistants, hair and makeup artists alike are busy finessing final touches, while Lihi and Mira, the dynamic mother-daughter duo behind Mira Zwillinger, step aside from the creative chaos for a moment to share the intimate details behind the new collection.

Lining racks behind us are gowns steeped in an ethereal lightness and subtlety. Intricate embellishment and textural, hand-stitched embroidery are woven over sheer, featherweight materials, with a beautiful sense of effortlessness and poetic refinement, as if organically growing from each silhouette. This season’s essence of etherealism, delicate adornment and soft femininity felt like a return to earlier seasons still etched into our mind when Mira Zwillinger first graced the New York Bridal Week shows. It was a beautiful balance of innovation with new techniques such as 3D printing and unique fabrication combinations that both pushed the brand forward into new realms while staying true to their heritage.

“Hair was slightly tousled and swept back into undone knots, while makeup felt fresh and dewy, complimenting the naturalness and lightness of the collection.”

Tell us about the inspiration and story behind the Spring ’20 collection?

The collection explores the power of making a wish. Our dream for this collection was to offer something forward-thinking using the technology of 3D printing to create new details that were both meticulously handcrafted and freehandedly illustrated. The collection should make you feel empowered and remind you that the world is yours to enjoy.

How has the collection naturally developed on from the last Fall ’19 collection?

The collection has taken a turn creatively, and 2020 is more sophisticated and innovative than ever. Through the dreamy and avant-garde textures that we are introducing to the bridal market, the new collection is designed to take your breath away.

What are some of the key silhouettes this season?

We kept the feeling of effortlessness in the silhouettes for this collection as well as explored some higher necklines, and lower backs. Additionally, we introduced some very luxurious voluminous skirts and matching airy and rich capes, which makes this collection exceptionally extraordinary.

Describe some of the unique fabrications and embellishments explored this season…

This season we incorporated both elegant textiles as well as introduced textures that are created from various mediums that are not typical to the bridal market. We ventured into 3D printing techniques to offer limitless embellishments that take the ethereal feel of the Mira Zwillinger brand to another level.

What is the stand out piece from the collection?

Our star in the ‘Make a Wish’ collection is the Salleé gown because it truly embraces our innovative 3D floral designs and couples together with our dreamy embellished airy cape!

Who do you define as the Mira Zwillinger woman?

Our bride is a sophisticated woman who is seeking something exceptional in its quality, design and fit.
