When sourcing your ceremony location look for sandstone features such as fountains, steps or backdrops along with overgrown olive gardens or greenery. Draw inspiration from authentic Tuscan wedding locations such as La Foce & Borgo Stomennano.

To assist in finding an ideal location for the urban wedding look to heritage cottages, public or privately owned gardens and unique tea-house venues that often present a similar aesthetic. In the outer regions of town, winery locations are laden with rustic tuscan-style wedding venues with a plethora of options.

Understated Styling

Keep styling and floral accents to a minimum, and play focus to the existing garden surrounds. An ivory palette with oak or weathered timbers is ideal, with the potential to incorporate a muted accent colour if desired.

In terms of seating, timber bench seats or natural bentwood chairs provide the signature refined rustic style.

When styling your backdrop, uncomplicated designs such as an overgrown greenery arch or simple white drapes (in linen or lace weaves) present beautifully. Keep the overall mood of the set up light and effortless by refraining from heavy structures and excessive layers or colours.
