About Flowers by Brett Matthew John

At Flowers by Brett Matthew John, we curate blooms that complement and complete celebrations, spaces, and lives.
With diverse backgrounds and shared love for aesthetics, we specialize in artful and contemporary concept floristry.

From a classic single stem to lushly wrought bouquets, mass media gifting, intimate events, or luxe corporate launches, our team loves curating to inspire and transport.

Working with the highest quality products available, we are motivated by customer satisfaction and aesthetic excellence. From reflex roses and spray paint to glitter and everything in-between – our designs are unlimited and unmatched.

FBMJ is a small team of young, fresh, and creative flower-lovers, continually developing our craft to be at the forefront of concept floristry.

Behind The Brand

Where do you draw your creative inspiration from?

The team and I always spend our lunch break scrolling Instagram and Pinterest – we’re always so inspired by our florist friends from around Australia and beyond. There are so many amazing creatives in the floristry space.

We also inspire ideas within each other, we spend hours on end geeking out over flowers on the daily. We also love a good flick through Vogue with a coffee. Coffee is always a great starting point for a great idea.

What advice do you give brides when choosing their wedding flowers?

A really great starting point when choosing wedding flowers is getting organized and prepared early so you can enjoy the creative process! Coming to your initial consultation prepared with a confirmed color palette is a great start, along with arriving with a variety of inspirational images as a fantastic way of getting the creative conversations flowing. This way you’ll get the most out of your florist!
Inspiration can also be drawn from anywhere – don’t be afraid to show your florist images of texture, fashion, or even interior design.

What style of floristry and flowers are you loving at the moment?

FBMJ style of course! Currently, I’m really loving a palette with a pop of unexpected color. I’m really into a dash of lemon, coral, or watermelon. I’m also for mixed textures and artful and asymmetrical forms.
