Behind The Brand

Describe the woman you design for…

The woman I design for adores luxurious fabrics and quality tailoring, garments she can treasure for years to come, and is conscious of the footprint she leaves on this planet. She is chic with an edge of confidence, a woman who enjoys expressing her unique self through the medium of fashion.

What is your most popular piece?

L’Amore tulle skirt worn with either our L’Amore lace top, Sayang top, or the silk A’I blouse.

What advice would you give to brides-to-be?

Choose a gown that makes you feel beautiful, confident, and expresses your personality and style. There is no wrong or right, it’s your day, do you! And also buy comfortable and supportive underwear and shoes, they are the foundation to look.

As a designer, what tips do you have for brides to get the most out of their fittings?

I always suggest bringing good underwear, ideally the underwear you’ll wear on the day or a close fit to it. The undergarments are the foundation of the look and will ensure the gown fits perfectly.

We encourage our brides to bring only two friends/family to fitting. We have found with experience that two many people’s opinions can be overwhelming.

Do you offer a custom design service for brides? If so, how long does it take to make a custom piece?

Yes, we do custom designs. We offer a range of separates for you to style your look as you wish, bespoke colorways, and also optional train and hem lengths. Custom designing from a drawing or idea requires an extra two to three months, depending on the style and fabric.

What advice do you give to brides to care for their gown?

Keep it somewhere safe, hang your garments out of the sunlight or damp areas when storing it. If you or your bridal team are nervous to iron your silk gown on the day, I recommend you get a professional to do so.
