About The Prince Hotel

A cornerstone of St Kilda Hospitality, The Prince Hotel has all the comforts of home, with a little bit of Melbourne attitude.

Serving up unpretentious luxury from its seaside location since 1863 The Prince Hotel is an icon, an institution, and a place to be set free.

The Prince Deck is their premier events space. St Kilda’s best view, an outdoor terrace, an indoor oasis and a menu from executive chef Dan Hawkins. It’s a space fit for royalty.

Behind The Brand

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

Prince Deck is our most popular space for weddings but we have also hosted some spectacular weddings in our restaurant, Prince Dining Room.

How many people can each of these cater for?

The Prince Deck: 30 – 120 seated | 50 – 500 cocktail

Prince Dining Room:  10 – 30 seated | 20 – 80 cocktail

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

Yes we do. We have a 39 room boutique hotel on site and all wedding bookings include accommodation for the Bridal couple in one of our suites on the night of their wedding.

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

We are lucky enough to share our complex with the stunning new Prince Dining Room (PDR) and the beautiful Aurora Spa Retreat.

Prince Dining Room provides the perfect setting for pre and post wedding celebrations including rehearsal dinners and wedding breakfasts. Its private room offers a more intimate setting for family gatherings or hen’s parties in the lead up to the wedding itself.

Aurora Spa Retreat is an urban day spa in the heart of St Kilda and the first of its kind in Australia. It offers brides to be a range of pre-wedding packages to help brides (and grooms) prepare for their special day.

What type of couple would fall in love with your venue and why?

Style conscious couples looking for an inner city destination they can make their own. The Prince Deck’s floor to ceiling windows bring the outside in while the sprawling timber deck sits among the treetops with views of the city skyline and out to Port Phillip Bay.

Editor’s Notes

Why we love it…

Floor to ceiling windows and doors with picturesque views of the Melbourne city skyline and Port Phillip Bay. Not to mention, a luxury spa for pre wedding pampering or a post wedding wind down.

For the couple…

Wanting a modern, city oasis with everything held at one place.

Styling tips…

Host the ceremony outdoors for the city views and then bring your guests inside for a moody ambience, with candles by the indoor pool for your reception.
