About Masseria Potenti

Within an estate of about one hundred and thirty hectares and, in the countryside of Manduria, rises the sixteenth century Masseria Potenti, originally belonging to the rich and powerful family of the Imperiali. It is located in a smooth landscape which gently rolls towards the enchanting Ionian sea, amongst endless olive groves, vineyards and Mediterranean thicket. With strong respect for its ancient architecture, the Masseria – a large type of Italian farm – has today become a unique farmhouse which unites its strong agricultural identity with refined hospitality.

Behind The Brand

Your best pieces of advice for event & honeymoon planning

Book your venue early—if you are sure about the place, book it immediately. Choosing the place that is a good fit for you is like choosing a house that is a good fit for you. You have to feel it and choose based on intuition. The location has to convince you from the first sight. It must fit the couple, not your parents or your friends. A lot of couples think about what is the best for their guests, but the party should be for you – choose what you think will make you both the happiest. That, and keep in mind who runs the venue you choose—make sure you trust htem.

Know what you want. Don’t necessarily rely on a wedding planner, give yourself a chance to be involved, and become a big part of the process. That said, also take into consideration the venue’s expertise and trust to the style and vibe of the venue

What was the spark for your brand? Where did the story begin?

Life inspired us. We never expected to have a hotel and to have weddings here, but our passion for it came through and made it into something big. Sometimes, in life, we think it is better to have a plan, but in reality, our passion guides and inspires us, we suggest to not have a plan for any kind of job, go through anything thing with strong passion and strong motivation. This passion gives you the spark, your passion, your strong motivation gives you the spark.

What inspires you creatively?

Nature, the spontaneous vibe of the nature, the multicultural mix of different countries, different vibes of different countries, the combination of countries, new designs, and vintage treasures. This is why I love working with clients from all over the world. They all teach me something different.

Most memorable place you’ve travelled?

I can’t really choose. For any country that I explore, there are things that I love a lot. I traveled to Xuma in the Bahamas, and I loved how untouched and un-touristy it was. In general, I love untouched, natural places.

On a typical weekend we’ll find you?

I live in between Milan and Puglia, so you can find me in Puglia at the beach, or in the market. I like to explore new beaches. My favorite at moment is Salina dei Monasi. In Milan, I love to go shopping and go to new exhibitions in museums.

A favorite quote?

When I think that something is very difficult, I think to myself “Start, and just do it.”
